1. Who we are

ContractVerdict ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered contract risk analysis service available at contractverdict.com. We provide plain-English analysis of US contracts for informational purposes only.

2. What information we collect

When you use ContractVerdict, we collect the following:

• Your email address — used solely to deliver your contract analysis report. We do not use it for marketing without your explicit consent.
• Your contract document — processed in memory to generate your analysis report. It is permanently deleted immediately after your report is generated. We maintain zero copies.
• Contract type and notes — optional context you provide to help us generate a more accurate analysis.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or handle your credit card details.
• Basic usage data — standard web analytics including page views and browser type. No personal identifiers are attached to this data.

3. How we use your information

We use your information for one purpose only: to deliver your contract analysis report to your email address. Specifically:

• Your email is used to send your report and a receipt confirmation.
• Your contract is processed by our AI analysis system and then permanently deleted.
• We do not use your contract content to train AI models.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Document handling and deletion

This is the most important section for most of our users. Your contract document is treated as follows:

• Your document is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
• It is processed in memory by our analysis system — it is never written to permanent storage.
• After your report is generated, your document is permanently and irrecoverably deleted.
• We do not retain backups of your documents.
• We do not have access to your contracts after analysis is complete.

We built this system intentionally. Your contracts contain sensitive business and personal information. Storing them creates risk for you. We choose not to create that risk.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate ContractVerdict:

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Netlify — website hosting and form handling. Subject to Netlify's privacy policy.
• Anthropic Claude API — AI analysis. Documents are processed via API and not stored by Anthropic for training purposes under their API terms.

6. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary to operate the service. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser without affecting your ability to use ContractVerdict.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request confirmation of what personal data we hold about you (email only, if you've used our service).
• Request deletion of your email address from our records.
• Opt out of any future email communications at any time.

Because we do not store your contract documents, there is no document data to request or delete — it no longer exists after your report is delivered.

8. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure third-party payment processing, and a no-storage architecture for document handling. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We recommend not uploading contracts containing sensitive government identification numbers or financial account details.

9. Children's privacy

ContractVerdict is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
